Kiev Retail Market Overview, Q2 2016

​• In Q2 2016, only one shopping centre entered the market, New Way SC (16,000 sq m GLA). That was the extent of new supply in H1 2016.
• From the beginning of 2016, retail turnover in Kiev grew for the first time since April 2014. This was mainly Ukrainian retail chains increasing their presence in quality shopping centers.
• In Q2 2016, the vacancy rate in Kiev declined from 6.2% to 5.6%. This extended the decline over the last four quarters to 2.8 pps.
• In Q2 2016, prime base rent was stable at USD720sq m per annum (excluding VAT and OPEX).
