Jones Lang LaSalle Tops Brokerage List

Jones Lang LaSalle accounted for more than a quarter of the commercial space lease in St. Petersburg market, generated by TOP-15 brokerage companies

St. Petersburg - Moscow, the 10th of March, 2011 - Jones Lang LaSalle is proud to announce that it has been named first in a list of top 15 brokerage firms in St. Petersburg by CRE North-West magazine.

The real estate company also topped the list in retail, office and industrial segments in the survey, which was published in the March edition of the magazine. The rating took into account the volume of sq meters of space leased or sold and the number of deals. Five biggest companies shared 61% of the commercial space lease and sale market in the city, and Jones Lang LaSalle accounted for slightly less than half of the entire business last year.

There is a significant increase in investor and occupier interest for quality real estate in St. Petersburg to expect. The total advised project volume, 1.7 mln sq m, indirectly indicates the same trend”.

Jones Lang LaSalle showed the highest result of leasing in the retail sector, where it leased 96,300 sq m. This included the Galeria Shopping and Entertainment Centre (opened in November 2010) and the Leto Shopping and Entertainment Centre (planned for opening this year), with the company acting as the exclusive marketing and leasing agent for both projects.

In the office sector, Jones Lang LaSalle advised on 43,149 sq m worth of lease and sale deals in 2010. Key projects included the lease of 3,100 sq m in the Pulkovo Sky business centre to Air Gateway of the Northern Capital, Ltd., and the lease of 3,220 sq m in the Olympic Plaza mixed-use complex to the Finnish Visa Service Centre.

In industrial sector Jones Lang LaSalle acted as a consultant in several big deals and leased 40,800 sq m of space in 2010.
